The Philosophy of Database Administration

Q. If a table is updated by a recurring job but never read, does it take up space on the hard disk?

A. Not anymore.

Yes it surely takes up disk space to function the recurring job.

If a replicated database is too expensive to maintain because the replication creates too much load, will replication be turned off when the application no longer uses the replicated database?
